Marvel star Letitia Wright has responded to fans left outraged by her choice to share a video on social media Thursday night questioning the coronavirus vaccine and vaccines in general. “My intent was not to injure anybody,” the “ Black Panther” starlet published on Twitter early Friday early morning. “My only intent of publishing the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine includes and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else.”

Wright’s since-deleted Thursday night post consisted of the prayer hands emoji in addition to a 69- minute YouTube video from the “On the Table” channel. The video is hosted by Light London Church leader Tomi Arayomi and finds him questioning the authenticity of the COVID-19 vaccine. Variety noted the video likewise included climate change skepticism and transphobic comments. Wright was identified an anti-vaxxer after sharing the video and initially responded to the backlash by posting: “If you don’t conform to popular viewpoints. but ask questions and believe for yourself … you get cancelled.”

As fans condemned Wright for sharing the video, the starlet began protecting herself in replies. One fan called Wright’s post “awkward” and motivated her to search for videos on the vaccine posted by certified medical professionals, to which Wright responded to: “My point has been made. You said go and search for qualified physicians. I did. They shared. They likewise got cancelled. So what now?”
” Absolutely regard what you are saying here,” Wright responded to another fan urging her to be more informed on the matter. “I’ve also heard from clinically qualified medical professionals who got their posts and videos taken down. Am I still wrong to question whats going on?”

Don Cheadle, Wright’s co-star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, called the “On the Table” video “hot garbage” when pressed for a response by fans online. While the star does not concur with the video, he stated he would not “toss [Wright] away” due to the fact that she published it.
” Jesus. Just scrolled through. Hot trash. Every time I stopped and listened, he and everything he said sounded crazy and [fucked] up,” Cheadle composed. “I would never protect anybody publishing this. But i still won’t toss her away over it. The rest i’ll take off twitter.”
Wright made rave reviews for her performance in Steve McQueen’s “ Small Axe” entry “Mangrove,” which is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The starlet is expected to take a lot more main function in the approaching Marvel tentpole “Black Panther 2.”
