ROME (AP)– Italian authorities will quickly approve an experiment with “COVID checked” flights from 3 U.S. airports with the objective of removing the needed 14- day quarantine for passengers getting here in Italy, Rome’s primary airport stated Thursday.
ADR, which operates Leonardo da Vinci Airport, said that similar “COVID checked” corridors were also anticipated to be approved for flights between the airport and the German cities of Munich and Frankfurt.
In contrast with the ADR statement, Delta said testing would be threefold: Guests would be tested up to 72 hours prior to departure; a fast test would performed at the airport in Atlanta; and another fast test administered upon arrival in Rome.
