_ THIS NURSING ASSISTANT POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $500 SIGN ON PERK PAYABLE AFTER 6 MONTHS. THIS BENEFIT IS ELIGIBLE TO NEWLY HIRED EXTERNAL APPLICANTS (PRESENT AAH STAFF MEMBER ARE NOT ELIGBLE AT THIS TIME). _

SET UP HOURS: Full-time; Night Shift 6: 30 pm – 7: 00 am, including rotating weekends and vacations

TASK SUMMARY:

Offers basic, quality client focused care in clinical setting under day-to-day direction and guidance of Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with the requirements of practice within guidelines of matching state policies. Performs delegated tasks in patient care setting that supports environment of patient care and ensures patients and household are treated in a holistic manner with self-respect and respect.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
• CNA – Nurse Assistant in great standing as suggested with the State Registry in which the team member practices.
• CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification released by the American Heart Association (AHA) should be acquired within 45 days.
• No experience needed.
• Standard computer abilities.
• Outstanding oral and written communication.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Should have the ability to sit, stand, walk, raise, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders throughout the work shift.
• Capability to raise to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when client is not able to help with the lift, patient handling equipment is anticipated to be utilized, with at least one other associate, when offered. Distinct client lifting/movement scenarios will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Will be needed to use foot pedals on carts or machines.

Needs to have functional vision and hearing.

Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards in addition to blood and body fluids on a constant basis; for that reason, protective clothes needs to be worn as necessary.

Runs all devices essential to perform the task.
