Health center administration needs to be more involved resolving the issue of retention, for the returning older nurse in addition to for the recently employed registered nurse. There need to be some sort of evaluation for the freshly hired registered nurse to pass to administration, detailing her satisfaction with her orientation, the mindset revealed by the individual who oriented her, how safe she feels performing her tasks after orientation, getting answers to her concerns answered in such a way that is encouraging and not demeaning. Registered nurses who are accountable for orientation must be held responsible after a specific number of negative evaluations.
