We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who is a Registered Nurse (Registered Nurse) with experience in Long-lasting Care or Skilled Nursing.
The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the Director of Nursing Providers in planning, organizing, establishing and directing the day to day functions of the Nursing Provider Department in accordance with federal, state and local requirements governing long term care centers and as may be directed by the Administrator.
Scope of duties includes however is not restricted to:
- Help the Director of Nursing Providers in preparation, arranging and directing the everyday operations of the nursing department in accordance with Federal & State standards
- Help in advancement of care plans and resident assessments
- Work with inter-disciplinary team in coordinating nursing services with other resident services
- Participate in the study & evaluation procedure
- Assist in employing, training, assessing and disciplining nursing personnel
- Oversee personnel advancement operates to guarantee professional competence including active licensure, continuing education and in-service training
- Presume duties of DNS in their lack
- Other obligations as designated
Qualifications:
- Need To be a Registered Nurse (Registered Nurse) presently accredited by the State
- Completion of a Partner’s Degree in Nursing
- Prior experience in a competent nursing or long-term care center
- Should have a thorough understanding of nursing scope of practice, procedures, laws and policies governing long-lasting care
- Effective management and interaction abilities
- Exceptional consumer service skills
