General Function:
Perform direct resident care tasks under the supervision of certified nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a caring physical and psychosocial environment for the locals.

- Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents everyday and as needed.
- Change bedding and maintain suitable grooming products in resident room regularly.
- Ambulate and move locals, making use of appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Record resident essential indications, weights and measurements, consumption and output, food intake, and other info as assigned.

- Prepare homeowners for each meal and transportation to dining room (unless resident on bed rest) making certain that food tray is available, self-help devices are readily available (if required), and support is offered to those residents who can not feed themselves.
- Keep a precise record of food intake and output, as directed.
- Assist nursing personnel with the basics of aseptic and sterilized strategies to avoid infection of locals and self-contamination of devices and materials.
- Be alert for correct ventilation, temperature, light and sound control.
- Take TPR, high blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc. as directed.
- Without delay respond to call lights and other resident needs.
- Use appropriate body mechanics when raising or carrying citizens.
- Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
- Go to in-service education programs in order to meet center academic requirements.
- Recognize with Standard Safety measures, Direct Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures and understand how to use the information.
- Maintain confidentiality of local and center records/information.
- Safeguard homeowners from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.
- Safeguard the personal effects of the residents of the center.
- Must follow participation standards per Presence Policy.
- Maintain established housekeeping requirements within appointed duty areas.

Minimum Credentials:
CERTIFIED:
- Existing Nursing Assistant Certification from state.
- Maintain CPR Accreditation
- High School Graduate or GED
