Join the adventure, romance and tragedy of families in the late 1830 s and early 1840 s. Many couples wed very young; however the life span was around 40 years of age. Couples often remained near to household, even surviving on the same land. Each couple in this story has different factors to move west, however they join their lives as they sign up with routes. 2 young couples are soon signed up with by a third, newlywed couple on the wagon train. The Iowa Territory was known for fertile grass lands for farming and tracks of forest for lumber. What could not be revealed was the diverse appeal of the Iowa landscape. Matthew and Zeta Emmerson, Ruben and Amy Younst and Jack and Cassandra Draper collaborate on the exact same wagon train and establish relationships. They meet and befriend John Fetters, Old John, on the trail after the terrible loss of his wife, Fran. Join them on their experience.
